The Darkest Child 2

This section shows the extensive beating that Rozelle commits on her children. She beat Mary Jane so bad that she was affect by scars and brusing and even blood lost. It also shows Rozzelle mind set or personality. She gets angery over little things such as the mailman delivering the mail and Mushy working for an married man, but all after all this she forces her daughter into prostitution. Mushy left after the married man incident and wants to make Tarrabelle come live with her and Velman Cooper. You can since Tangy Mae jealousy because she sees how Mr. Cooper loves her sister. Maybe not having a father figure she just needs a mans love in general.

Does not having a father figure affect the kids as a whole or just Tangy Mae?

The Darkest Child

Mushy who is the eldest of the Quinns took her siblings out. This happen while her mother was out in the town having fun. Her reason for doin so was that she wanted them to have a good time. We also found out that the Quinns arent evil towards each other that it would have seemed earlyer. Tarabelle stayed home with the infant this probably had to she was scared to leave. Veing heavliy affected of her mother wanted her to be in the family business which is prostitution. This happen when she told her siblings of it and cry and ranned into the house. Her prostitution is what probably makes her evil or direct her anger towards her sibilings. Tangy Mae gets it more becasue she has the oppurtunity to go to school and doesnt have to work. She is evil toawrds her mom but doesnt show in a form of respect.

The "Invisible Man"

Andrew Sullivan's 2003 article examines the life of Bayard Rustin who was considered the Invisible Man because most people have never heard of him. Born to a Quaker family in 1912 from West Chester, Pa dedicated his life to sociak issues. He was trained as an activist by the Quakers, Rustin went to New York City and, unfortunately, dabbled in Communist Party activity before quitting in disgust in 1941. Sullivan expresses that Rustin found his true calling in the 1940s by starting one of the first freedom rides in the south confronting legal segregation and becoming background key figure with desegregation of the armed forces. He also advise young and still uncertain Martin Luther King Jr on effect protesting. Rustin's greatest achievement was organizing the 1963 March on Washington, immortalized by King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Sullivan say's his invisibility was due to his sexual orientation for men. Being a homosexual was extremly rare, but he showed no guilt or shame says Sullivan. With being arrested for sexual activity in a car, like like many public gay men, Rustin was forced into a defensive crouch because of his sex life. Somehow, Rustin never succumbed to the anger that was his right; his spirit remained as light and as positive as his beautiful tenor voice says Sullivan.

ARE MEN JUSTIFIED FOR THEIR RACE? OR MOSTLY THEIR BELIEF?

Parsing the Patriots Paradox by SEAN GREGORY / FOXBOROUGH, MASS.

Sean Gregory's 2008 article examines the NFL's New England Patriots cheating scandal and the record breaking franchise since 2000. Sean gets into full depth about their record setting 2007-2008 season by becoming the fourth team undefeated in the regular season. This has all been overshadowed by Michael Vicks jailing and the murders of two NFL superstars, but after all this they will forever be tormented by their spygate affair in which the team was caught trying to steal an oppents sign using a sideline camera. Sean really gives the Patriots an evil genius title sort to speak. He also gives their head coach Bill Bellichick a chess master who in 2001-2004 three superbowl wins escaping the shadow of Bill Parcells superbowel winning coach who he tolied as his assistant. Due to the new season the Patriots have had a new lead to perfection as Gregory calls it. They obtain star record breaking reciever Randy Moss,Wes Welker and free agent Dante Stallworth who gives Tom Brandy better targets. With all this the Patriots have ended with this comment "It's not about someone liking you. This is a business. We understand what people are going to say about us. But at the same time, we don't care. We can't care."
