Parsing the Patriots Paradox by SEAN GREGORY / FOXBOROUGH, MASS.

Sean Gregory's 2008 article examines the NFL's New England Patriots cheating scandal and the record breaking franchise since 2000. Sean gets into full depth about their record setting 2007-2008 season by becoming the fourth team undefeated in the regular season. This has all been overshadowed by Michael Vicks jailing and the murders of two NFL superstars, but after all this they will forever be tormented by their spygate affair in which the team was caught trying to steal an oppents sign using a sideline camera. Sean really gives the Patriots an evil genius title sort to speak. He also gives their head coach Bill Bellichick a chess master who in 2001-2004 three superbowl wins escaping the shadow of Bill Parcells superbowel winning coach who he tolied as his assistant. Due to the new season the Patriots have had a new lead to perfection as Gregory calls it. They obtain star record breaking reciever Randy Moss,Wes Welker and free agent Dante Stallworth who gives Tom Brandy better targets. With all this the Patriots have ended with this comment "It's not about someone liking you. This is a business. We understand what people are going to say about us. But at the same time, we don't care. We can't care."

Tone:Informational

Application:Will the history makin Patriots continue to break NFL Records and deal with their built up controversie?
